Chief Blake is fair on justice and well liked, but now all of his instincts and decisions are hauled into question as a series of gruesome accidents and violent misfortune run rampant on a farming community that prides itself on good clean Christian country living. Once a beautiful place for fishing, swimming, and hiking, Cuero has turned into a terrifying pit of heart-stopping murders and horror. Innocent hikers start disappearing and farm animals are turning up brutally mauled in a small Texas border town. Violent town hall meetings trigger outrage about how to handle the situation. What this once tightly knit community doesn’t realize however is that fear and chaos are just the start of their worst nightmare. This story was inspired by true events.
