Set in Los Angeles California, Kendall Lane a journalist for the LA Times, along with two LAPD detectives are investigating a random murder, so they thought. Later discovered, a serial killer (copycat of Jack the Ripper), is terrorizing the city. Kendall has faced her share of monsters, but this monster killer, makes her question everything she knew about herself. One gruesome murder scene, a picture of a young girl was left behind, Kendall immediately knew the connection between the victims, she was the reason these men were being hunted and brutally tortured. How? She never told, hoping no one knew, but someone did find out. Through vivid nightmares, Kendall gets a rare glimpse inside a killer’s mind, what she saw, no one could ever imagine. So, the demented, twisted game of pay back begins.
Theeatically, I explore the notion that the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

It is a fresh take on an old problem. A film with a strong drive and point of view.

From conception to finished project, about a year.
How many stories have you written?
5-6 feature screenplays, and 2 short screenplays (one of which was made into a successful sci fi short film, “Into the Dark”, winning many awards and screening in over 70 film festivals world wide.)
What motivated you to write this screenplay?
A bizarre personal story a friend told me over a coffee about his childhood. I took it and ran with that idea.

Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?
I’m an actor (Blacklist, Blue Bloods, Limitless, The Black Room etc.- http://www.lukashassel.com) and a filmmaker (www.intothedarkmovie.com). I’m also passionate about injustice of any kind which is kind of a red thread through all my writing.
Any advice or tips you’d like to pass on to other writers?
Don’t write unless you have something to say. Figure out what makes you furious, what gets you fired up, and write to that.
